Canada is one particular nation that does not have a symbolic bird representing itself.  Instead, it has birds representing many of the provinces with the most popular being the Common Loon of Ontario.  This bird often appears on Canadian coinage.  Below is a list of each of the provinces who have symbolic birds.  One exception is Nunavet, who has none.  

1.  Ontario--Common Loon

3.  Quebec--Snowy Owl
4.  Saskatchewan--Yellow Tailed Grouse
5.  Alberta--Great Horned Owl
6.  Prince Edward Island--Blue Jay
7.  Yukon--Raven
8.  Newfoundland--Atlantic Puffin
9.  Northwest Territories--Gyrfalcon
10. Nova Scotia--Osprey
11. Nunavet--none
12. Manitoba--Great Gray Owl
13. New Brunswick--Black Capped Chickadee
